Summer at last!

We are in PA for... oh.. about a month. Toby and I looked at each other last week, while we were sitting on our couch without a thing to do and said, "Why don't we just go home for awhile?" So we are going to make our rounds. We are staying with Toby's parents for about a week and a half, then moving over to stay with my parents for about a week and a half. From there we are going to Toby's brother's place in D.C., then to Frederick, MD to see my sister, and then last but not least we are going to Harrisbury, PA to hang out with my brother and his family. So it is going to be an eventful month in June, full of family and fun.

Every time we come back home to PA, Toby and I are somewhat surprised by how much we like it here. We were so ready to get away when we graduated high school, but each time we come home lately, we are pleasantly greeted by a lovely landscape and demographic that is familiar and at the same time estranged. We really like driving around comparing PA to KY. There are so many similarities and yet very distinctive differences. We have found that we could easily return to PA in the future and not feel like we "settled." Maybe one day I will have a fancy shmancy garden and... possibly a horse?? Stay tuned...

In other news.. our move to Kansas is approaching rather quickly. We are hoping to sign a lease on a house rental by the beginning of July. We are also hoping that we sell our house, in the meantime. It is crazy times! Coming home was a great escape from all of our stress. Toby received an email from the chair of the design department at KU with his teaching schedule. So he is going to be busy planning his classes, now. I am going to spend time figuring out what in the heck I am going to get myself into when we move out there. I am really excited about the new adventure and the complete openness of my agenda at the moment.

I realized that I haven't written in quite some time. We have been soo soo busy this spring. So.. here we are.. things are somewhat calming down and we are looking ahead to some really exciting things.
