I bought some flowers for the first time in a long time this weekend. The orange color does the job of putting me in the mood for this fantastic autumn weather.

The Ideal House..

Toby and I have this dream of opening a contemporary campground one day. Yesterday we were researching pre-fab buildings and came across these idyllic cabins. Not only did we think they would make the perfect future cabins for our "cutting edge eco" campground.. but we thought we could definitely see ourselves living in one as well. Craving new kitchen accessories...

Toby, some friends, and I went to Cincinnati last weekend and shopped 'til we dropped. We made it to Anthropologie and had maybe fifteen minutes to browse through before they had to close. It was not enough time.. so I have been browsing their website a lot this week to make up for it. I just love these beautiful plates, cookie jar, butter dish, and tea pot! They would make a lovely addition to any kitchen. Check out their "home" website here.

Loving Christmas Decor!

I put out some Christmas decorations this week in order to inspire some christmas spirit! I usually skip decorating since we don't spend Christmas at our house, but this year I was feeling a little more festive and couldn't pass it up. I love looking at these beautiful images on Better Homes & Gardens.

Much ado about nothing...

I just got finished cleaning the house and rearranging furniture in our bedroom. I'm positive people would have laughed had they been given the opportunity to watch me move around a queen-size bed and two dressers all by myself. I remember moving around my room when I was younger, though, and I can't quite remember it being as difficult as it had been today. It could be that I am just getting weaker, older, and less youthful. How sad. The room looks good, might I add. I think Toby will be proud of me when he sees it this evening.

I think the idea to move the room around came from my boredom with how things were arranged and with the fact that our bed had been located on an exterior wall, which I think was cause for myself being fairly cold last night? Mainly I decided to move it around because I have missed six consecutive days of school now, due to wintry weather, and I was beginning to become bored with TV. Thank goodness! One can only take so many episodes of The Real Housewives of OC and No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain until the TV cannot satisfy your interest any longer. (I will say that Anthony Bourdain is far more beneficial and redeeming than the TRHOC. He has taken me to quite a few exotic, far-away lands on these past few days that I hardly feel as though I have been pent up inside this house for those hour-long episodes.)

I will be going back to school tomorrow, none the less, and I am actually looking forward to it. I will miss the extra time for sleep in the mornings. How is it that we can yearn and anticipate not working and then as soon as we get what we hope for, we want something else instead? Strange, very strange. I am looking forward to continue some much needed work on my New Year's Resolution.. that being contentedness.

Cleveland findings...

While in Cleveland we stumbled upon some unique places and opportunities.

1st:
We found a flyer advertisement for this cute little boutique across the river from downtown Cleveland called Room Service, so I made the boys take me there! Since you may not be within a close proximity, just check out their site:


They had really cute stuff and the majority of all of their merchandise was made locally by Cleveland artisans. I purchased some wall art and a little Paul Frank memory game for my nephew, Colton. Affordable, and fun! This is just a little preview of some of the wall art from their store. They also had AMAZING band posters that were screen printed!

2nd:
I picked up a little postcard-size flyer advertising MESSY MAGAZINE which is this neat literary/art/music/photography/whatever-that-issue-needs-to-be-at-the-moment, magazine. They are accepting submissions!!!

3rd:
The last little postcard-size ad I grabbed was for this creative firm called RING ART + DESIGN. Check out their site... I love their Graphic Arts tab.
