Toby and I were in Philadelphia last weekend for SPE Nationals. It was a lovely trip. Toby was a speaker at the conference and then he also received two awards! He received a scholarship from the National Conference and then he received an award and speaking opportunity for next year's Midwest Conference taking place in Kalamazoo, MI. in the fall. The conference had an expo set up with about 200 some vendors carrying a multitude of photography media, information, and goodies. I fell in love with the Diana F+ and the instant back option that came with it.. so I puppy-eyed my way into getting Toby to purchase it for me! I had to wait for them to ship it, because they only had cameras on display for ordering options. It arrived in the mail on Friday and I have been thoroughly enjoying my time orienting myself to it. We are forming quite a nice relationship with each other so far. I took three photos of Toby last night using the instant film and realized it will take some time for me to familiarize myself to it's unique exposure/flash settings, but it will be a lot of fun learning to perfect them! Instant film is more expensive than I thought, so I will have to make each shot count, unlike a digital camera! I love that about it though!
