When I was a kid my parents bought us "Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein. I loved it sooo much. His poems are so witty and clever! I just love the strange imagination he brings to life through his sketches and words. Below is a cute poem from the book.. one of my favorites.
Hug O' War
I will not play at tug' o war.
I'd rather play at hug' o war,
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.
I will not play at tug' o war.
I'd rather play at hug' o war,
Where everyone hugs
Instead of tugs,
Where everyone giggles
And rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses,
And everyone grins,
And everyone cuddles,
And everyone wins.
