Scheduling, Planning, and Ordering

I have three weeks until school starts for the 2009-2010 year of learning. I am beginning to feel the weight of stress on my shoulders and every time I think about it, my stomach twists into knots and I feel like vomiting. Is it time for a new career?? I don't know? Today I am going to officially start planning out my units and lessons so that I can place my supply order for the year. I am going into my fourth year of teaching and I still feel completely incapable of doing some of the work an art teacher needs to be able to do... such as place a supply order. Last year, I thought I would do something smart. The first year I started to teach, I did not order enough of certain things and had no money left after my initial order to get those things. So, when I placed my order last year, I thought that I would be sure to save some money to order things in the spring that I would need. So, I saved some money and then because the economy was so crappy, that money was taken from me. So this year.. I am going to place my order in it's entirety from the beginning and hope that I get enough of what I need. Our schedule is changing this year. We are teaching on a trimester schedule. So we are switching classes three times during the school year. I have gained an additional block. I teach four classes instead of three during each section. The class length is shortened, instead of an hour and twenty-five minute blocks, we are now teaching for an hour and ten minutes each block. So.. needless to say.. I have a lot of switching and planning to get started on. I look forward to the challenges and hope that my attitude can stay positive and when it is not, I hope that it does not take much to get me back on my optimistic feet again! So.. I better not waste another minute, time to get to work.
