How much are stamps these days?

I think one of the most exciting things about birthdays are the LETTERS that come in the mail!! What is it about receiving a handwritten letter that is so special?

To me, I love the idea of each individual's personal handwriting as an art form. I used to prefer handwriting research paper rough drafts as opposed to typing them, only because I could then see my handwriting. Handwritten notes were so much fun to write and receive in high school, in fact, I think I still have a box in my old bedroom that contains a plethora of notes I received from friends.

The strange thing is this blog. If I like handwritten words so much, why am I typing this? Hmmm. I guess I am just going to have to say that it is way easier and less time consuming. Why call someone, when you can text? Why write a hand-written letter, when you can email? These are awful, awful reasons and excuses.

I'm going to end this here and go write something with a pen now.... a letter maybe? For the rest of you.... I'll be waiting for some more letters in my MAILBOX.
